THE END

I've just got home from our final outing with Elle and Chris. Time now is just gone 2am. Went up to the 'tourist belt' area where all the lovely hotels is located by the beach. We did nothing but just to stroll along the stalls along the road, as Elle and Chris needed to get some souvenirs back for their friends and families. Everyone bought something except me. Well, I am choosey. *hah* And also, I did not see anything of interest to me ... just maybe a really nice looking bag.

As usual, we went to have supper afterwards. A big part of Penang life is eating. Ever since I have been back here, my diet has been really sinful, ranging from the most unhealty deep-fried of all sorts and having all the spices! I haven't had much cereal, salad, fruits and all the stuff which is good for your body system and frankly, I am feeling guilty about it and miss eating healthily. I realise that since being back here, it's difficult to curb the tendency of the local delicacy as they taste sooooooo good but I guess I really ought to try.

I feel as though I did not get to see much of Elle at her trip this time. Prolly because it was such a short visit and also, it's kinda difficult to have a quiet chat what with so much going on. Maybe upon her next trip, she'll stay longer than just 7 days! But nevertheless, it was still great to see her. Safe flight. Will miss you!

Being back in Asia, hence Penang and driving along at night time really has it's spooks. This is may not come of an awareness for those un-Asian, but here in Asia, we have loads of spirits to be careful about. Along the 'tourist belt' which basically comprises of three places, namely Tanjung Tokong, Batu Ferringhi and Muka Head is where the posh hotels are mainly located. This is where the tourist/travellers hang out. And yes I did see some English, American and Australians tonight. Back to my point, driving alone is really scary as sometimes, some spirit/white might just appear in your passenger seat! Spooky!

I've also been warned about 'bikers thief' keeping an eye on lady-driving-alone and upon a lonely road - they try to stop your car and attempt to rob! I've also been warned about bikers snatching lady carrying a bag under their arm and when they do, they really pull your strap with a force and will not let go! Scary!

I really ought to be careful.

Oh yes, I've confirmed my purchase today and hopefully, my very own first car will arrive smoothly! Till then!

BACK AGAIN

Hello! Has anyone been wondering about me ? I've been a little busy with my social life for the past few days. Been seeing an old friend, just hanging out and doing nothing but eating and catching up. It's also nice to be driven about! Oh yes, another good friend of mine, Elena is out for a visit her with her boyfriend. They flew in last Sunday and is leaving this Saturday! Since it's not exactly a long stay, we kinda have to cramp our activities in this short 5 days. 5 days because she mostly need to see her family as well. She + Chris kindly invited me to stay over at their hotel the night before, just tohang out and catch up on old times. Initially, I could not make it as my mom needs her car to go to work in the morning. *sigh* The inconvenience of having your own car is mighty annoying. Anyway, another-another good old friend was willing to drop me at the hotel and drive me home too!

Elena is such a good friend still and seeing her again has really made my return here a lot better, though sadly, she's returning to the States. And she still looks as good as ever, pretty and adorable. Northam Hotel is posh but not overly too *bling bling*, if you know what I mean. We went for a Balinese massage at Danai Spa and it was soooooooo good. Honestly, I felt so relaxed till I was asleep for most of the time and felt really lazy afterwards. The interior of Danai Spa is really different and unique compared to most of the spa that I have been so far. It really has a relaxed atmosphere with loads of plants, wee fountains with Japanese cup swimming around and it even have a little bridge across the tiny man made river flow. Even more excellent cause it's located by the sea! And all of the massagers had sexy sarong on, I'm sure those foreign travellers would love those. Elena was kinda enough to sponsor me the massage cause she knows I am too broke! Good huh ... I feel so lucky. Thanks a bunch babe!

Oh and I had to put on a disposable panties for the massage and it was too huge for me!

Oh and I might be purchasing a new car, will confirm it after the test drive. It's a Mini look-a-like.

I have some new pictures but will not upload it today. Have been trying in vain to fix some viral infection on my laptop. Norton does not seem to be doing a good job and some of my programs/application just won't load properly. Also, the Norton Internet Security Professional has blocked my internet access to hotmail.com and yahoo.mail and now my Skype program does not load at all!

TURMOIL OF SPEED

Everyone should know by now that I have left the UK on the 30th and am now back in Penang. Farewell and goodbye's are really not my kinda thing. It hurts to say bye especially to someone you adore greatly and most probably, will never see again. Oh well, c'est la vie.

Being back in Penang is really surreal and I still cannot seem to register the fact that I am now in Penang! It's prolly because I haven't been around for straight 4 years. Needless to say, the weather is scorching hot and I am finding it with extreme difficulty to acclimatised. It feels like I am perpertually melting.

Wondered did I really did the right thing by returning here for good ?!

Anyway.

Been sleeping for the past 2 days, most of the time just to beat jet lag. I read once before that the best way to beat jet lag is (apparently) shower, eat if u must and then sleep for as long as you can. So says, that your body will automatically adjust to the local time when you're awake. Huh ?

I am happy to announce that my sore throat is gone but there's still a bit of cough. So I'm on speed recovery.

Drove around Penang today, just to observe the environment and the atmosphere. Everything still pretty much looks the same, except it now has more condominiums and commercial complex. The beach has gone so dirty and polluted, such a turn off. Though everything looks almost the same but at the same time, everything feels really different and was not as what I remembered.

I really do miss England loads. I miss the atmosphere, fresh fruits and vegetable and most of all ... I miss the fresh air.

I also miss taking it easy at Whiteladies Road, just slouching and watching tv/dvd ... for some reason, it's very relaxing over there.
