Lovely Sheryl . . .

OK, first things first ...

I have a new colleague (Sheryl) and she's absolutely adorable! Love her to bits. We get along great and we help one another whenever we can .. and at the same time, we have the same sense of humour which is really what I need given our solemn profession.

Last Weekend ...

Sheryl was nice enough to spend her Sat night with me as it was my birthday. Initially, I was utterly dismayed to discover that I had to work on that particular Sat. Don't get me wrong, the firm where I'm attached with do not normally operate on Sat but there are 4 particular Sats of the year which we are open. Not so much for the public but rather, for us the lawyers and staff to chase up on pending matters. The last Sat for 2006 just happen to fall on that particular Sat. I planned on heading back to Pg in order to commemorate a birthday weekend with JC as her birthday falls 2 days earlier than mine. And also, to see my family and catch up with my deary friends. Alas, plan gone down the drain.

8 am --- BRrrriiiiIIIIinnggg! BrrrrIIIiiiiinnnnng! Alarm screaming off, demanding my wakefulness to the world. Dragged my ass out of bed. Showered quickly, got dressed and dashed out of the door. Yes, you guessed right .. heading into the City for work. I breezed in only to find that it's a ghost firm. No one comes in right on time and here I am thinking that I was darn late. Right, lesson learnt, I thought to myself.

I switched on my room light and there was a present waiting for me at my desk! OOOOO , lovely surprise. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a sucker for presents .. but it was such a lovely gesture that I went straight to Sheryl and gave her a deary beary hug and said thanks. It's a lovely charm for my bag and one I've been wanting to get one for ages but never really got the guts to actually purchase one. Sheryl seems to know what I want. *thumbs up girl*

So we hung about in the office, pretending to work .. ok not really. We really worked but till 12 o'clock, we stopped and most poeple were just chatting. Comes 1230 we headed off to Equitorial for our Working Lunch and the food was not too bad. I paricularly fell in love with the mussles and desserts. I guess it's not a bad thing since I'm having a free much. The things is, I've been told that the food or rather the menu remains the same throughout the year. Hmm .... now where is the creativity and variety in that. Anyway, working lunch went breezily and so did the meeting. No sweat. However, it is a bit daunting at the idea that everyone will be informed of your progess. *shivers*

Meeting's over , yee ha! Sheryl and I headed off to Times Square to Nichii Gallery. I had to exchange a dress I bought there as I took the wrong one. The salesgirl was an utter bitch .. she talked to me as though I had my brain stashed in between my legs. PffT! I certainly will think twice before heading over to that particualr Nichii Gallery again. However, our mood soon died since we both were up early for work. We had Green Tea Frappucino and it was delicious. We decided to head back soon after and to come out again around dinner time for some snacks and drinkings afterwards at Bangsar Village. Rest were vital to our well being. All in all, it was a good weekend.
